Shire Oak Saints J.F.C. are looking for youngsters to join their Soccer Academy who will be in Reception class and Year 1 in September 2007.

Our Academy was one of the first Academies to be set up and has now been running for over 10 years proving to be a huge success.

Youngsters are encouraged to enjoy and learn the skills of football in a safe and quality assured environment. Our Academy will help boys and girls to develop confidence and listening skills.

The Academy is based at Shire Oak School, taking advantage of the playing fields in the summer and utilising the indoor sports hall in the colder weather. The sessions are organised by head of coaching Jaz Singh who has F.A. Level 2 coaching qualifications and is CRB checked. Jaz is supported by other F.A. qualified and CRB checked coaches.

We are proud of the reputation our Academy has earned over its 10 years with many youngsters joining us by word of mouth referrals. The graduates of the Academy go on to represent Shire Oak Saints J.F.C. at older age groups.

Our main aim is for the youngsters to have fun and develop their skills whilst also appreciating fair play. The Academy is suitable for children of all abilities to develop their football skills. We introduce children to football learning basic ball familiarity, passing, shooting and dribbling skills. Additionally, children develop independence, balance, coordination as well as becoming more confident and socially aware. As well as football coaching, we arrange a Christmas Party and end of season presentation evening for the children.

The Academy is committed to the grass roots of football in the local community and devoted to the delivery of quality coaching to 4-6 year olds. The youngsters can then participate and represent ‘The Saints’ at under 7’s. In accordance with F.A. guidance, all junior leagues will run under 7s teams as non competitive which means that games are arranged on a friendly basis with no leagues or cups to play for.
